As we talked about yesterday, the healthiest part of pecan pie is the pecans. The good news though is that you don’t have to give up pecan pie altogether. A few months ago I ran across a pecan pie recipe in Natalia Rose’s book The Raw Food Detox Diet. This recipe is extremely easy and, I must say, tastes surprisingly similar to pecan pie. When you look at the recipe you’ll see what I mean. I’ll admit I doubted at first, but am happy to say the recipe proved me wrong! This recipe has become a new favorite when I want a healthy treat. 4 pecan halves
Open and pit the date. Place a pecan inside and enjoy!
