It seems like an eye blink of dragging in the portable table the first night before the paint was dry to treat a girl who had fallen off of a balcony and landed head first on her head. A million adjustments (not an exaggeration) of everything from movie stars, to cleaning ladies, sandy surfers, and women about to give birth, old people so frail their bones could barely hold them up, down to newborn babies the day after they were born.

Getting to be the second chiropractor in the world to teach M.D.’s in a medical school (U.C. San Diego), training over 1000 chiropractors, slowly paying off a gigantic chiropractic student loan, watching staff members arrive, grow up, and sometimes move on. We have seen patients get married, have babies, and very, very rarely leave this earth.

There are a 100 professions where I could have made more money, and worked a lot less, but none that I could be so proud of all the people we have helped, and all of the love they have given us.

A great friend of mine, a chiropractor named David Singer, once said to me, “When I lie on my death bed, I want to know, that I helped more people, in more ways, than anyone thought was possible. That is how I feel. And I’m just getting started being a San Diego Chiropractor, even after 20 years.

So here is how I found the ridiculous hotel deal.

I went to hotwire.com and searched for hotels in San Francisco. It lists 4.5 stars west of Union Square. The only hotel of that level I could find in the map area is Campton Place Hotel. This place is listed as a 4.5 or 5 star hotel.

I called the hotel directly and asked them about it. Without even blinking, they asked I that I call back during business hours and speak to the in-house reservations. They matched the reservation price of hotwire, while letting me reserve there directly.

I promised the hotel I would not tell the price online, but if you e-mail me I will tell you what I paid.

You basically end up paying around twice what the Motel 6 by Los Angeles Airport charges for one of the hotels listed by Conde Nast Traveler as one of the best places to stay in the world.

What is better than going to a real “street” un-conference like wordcamp, while staying in a 5 star hotel. Leave me a comment or shoot me an e-mail if you are staying there, we can have breakfast!

One of our newer patients Betsy who was referred to us from UCSD medical school, has been gushing so much about chiropractic and asking how she could help spread the word that I gave her a chiropractic blog on our site.

What makes the whole thing even more thrilling is Betsy’s era. I will simply give you one of Betsy’s own quotes from her blog, “I was really surprised when she said there are only a few “geezers” like myself.”

To be honest, I am 43 and most people my age don’t have myspace or facebook pages, and barely even understand what a blog is. In the Geezer catagory, you won’t find too many bloggers, and especially not about chiropractic.

I am finding it very interesting to read the same story I live in from her perspective. This whole blog thing is very new to her, so if you stop by, please leave a comment. I am sure she will be thrilled.
